Hydropanels
Make fresh drinking water out of sun and air!
PCS assisted the Zero Mass Water team with the Installation of an Array of 20 Source Hydropanels (solar-powered atomospheric water generators (SPAWG)) at Petros Junior School, White Sands, Tanna, Vanuatu. This new array will provide 5L of clean fresh drinking water per panel and for the array produce an average of 100L per day. This project was funded by the ADB following the massive destruction by Cyclone Pam in 2015 to everything, including contaminating the local drinking water, combine this with the regular volcano activity on the island emitting a sulphur dust and clean water for the school children and staff becomes a massive logistical task for this remote island school. |
